From the renowned Beneficio San Diego mill, Costa Rica’s most modern and innovative mill since 1888, comes a truly exceptional specialty-grade, single-origin coffee. This lot is produced by small farmers in the Tarrazú region, where average farms are just three hectares.
Processed using the honey method—a craft pioneered in Costa Rica—ripe cherries are carefully depulped, leaving the coffee’s natural mucilage intact during drying. This enhances the bean’s natural sweetness, creating a complex, fruit-forward cup with remarkable balance. No two honey coffees are alike, and this lot was selected for its standout flavor and quality.
We’re roasting it to bring out its vibrant, nuanced character—a perfect example of Costa Rica’s innovation in coffee.
